This Sunday Ruth Cadbury MP will be raising money for Brentford Football Club's Community Sports Trust by cycling 46 miles on the mass Ride London event.
Ruth will be raising awareness as well as money for the Trust, an award-winning charity who use various sports to educate, motivate and inspire young people from all backgrounds.
Speaking before Sunday, Ruth said
''As a young councillor back in the 80s, I worked with the club, youth workers and local police to provide summer activities to youngsters on the Brentford Estates. That grew into BFCCST, which for the last 30 years have been doing amazing work across our local area. They're one of the leading football charities in the country, and I know how much people appreciate their work.
That's why I'd be so grateful for any donations, or for people to simply share my fundraising page.
I love cycling, and it provides me with a great way to keep fit. Whilst I'm sure I'll be slightly sore on Monday it will be in aid of a great cause''
